Spies Help List
The Art of Espionage
To be an effective spy, you must be quick on your toes and be able to lie like a used car salesman. You have to be able to move between enemy and friendly, observe and record, wheel & deal, and turn on your enemy in the blink of an eye, all without blowing your cover. Sound interesting? Well here are a few things that may help you in your quest... This message will self destruct in 5 seconds.
Keep your eyes on your surroundings. This is the best way to tell if your cover is blown. People will have small conversations before taking out a spy. Watch your back, if you think your cover is blown, leave. You will be no good to your team if your eliminated.
When negotiating for items/ information, leak out a little bit at a time. The more info you can get without divulging all that you know, the more info you will have to bargain with later.
Shoot someone every now and then. If the enemy sees that you are eliminating his enemy, he may be more inclined to trust you. Try and shoot a fellow teammate. This way your not eliminating some poor slob just out for the game.
Try not to be around when anything bad happens, especially if you are the one who caused it.
Leak false information about another player being the actual spy. Make a person in a position of power, such as Base Security. This will give everyone something to think about when the General is eliminated. A small rumor can go a long way.
When moving between enemy lines, do so discreetly. If anyone sees you, your cover is blown. You don't know what spies are at your base. They may blow your cover as well.
Do all your deals in secluded locations, out of site of other players. This will help keep your cover.
Ask players about things that are going on. You would be surprised how much a regular person really knows about covert operations. Most people are more than willing to share.
Be inventive. There are allot of ways that a simple lie can do damage. Send the enemy out on wild goose chases, plant false information, B.S. about objects that don't exist. Have FUN with the role.
